Please read the following terms and conditions of Barrel Farm before you place an order. 

By accepting this cake agreement and paying a deposit, you agree to be subject to these Terms and Conditions. 

Order Confirmation: 

Minimum 72 hours’ notice for all Standard cakes 3-Layer Cakes, Cheesecakes. 

 7 days’ notice for all custom cakes 

A 50% deposit is required on confirmation of your order. 

No order will commence until a deposit has been paid & received.   

Once the deposit has been paid, the quoted price remains fixed to the details in the quote. 

Pricing on Custom Cakes: 

Prices mainly depend on the design, therefore before placing the order please discuss with us your requirements and get a quotation. 

Collection of cakes: 

Cakes are to be collected from our premises at a prearranged time and date only. 

The best way to transport the cake is to have a passenger carry the cake box in the car.  

We do not take any responsibility for any damage that may occur to the cake once it has left our premises (whilst in your care). 

Design and decorations: 

Please note that cake design and colours can be subjected to slight variations according to the availability of decorative accessories and due to possible discrepancies in photo to screen resolution. Colours and designs cannot be guaranteed to be exact to supplied images. 

Although all care will be taken to produce a product as close to the brief as possible, Barrel Farm will not directly copy / replicate the work of another cake artist and reserves the right to make changes either in design or content, to produce the best product possible for our customers. 

Customers can request for writings on the cake or cake board. Please indicate the wordings correctly upon placing your order. 

Please note that due to space constraint on the cake surface, lengthy wordings may not be accommodated. 

Please ensure all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, design requirements, delivery & collection details and any requested changes have been properly documented on your cake confirmation. 

Regarding fresh or preserved flowers, we will use what is available at market on the day. we will accommodate your style and colour as best possible. 

Changes in order: 

Any changes related to the order must be made at least 3 days before the collection date. 

Should the design change, we reserve the right to amend your costings accordingly, to reflect the changes required. 

Order Cancellation : 

As all our cakes are specially prepared for your order, we do not encourage any last-minute cancellation. 

However, cancellation of the order is permitted under the following conditions: (except for custom cakes) 

      - Up to 1 day or more from the date of collection: Deposit is non-refundable.  

However, if Barrel Farm has to cancel the order with you for any particular reason due to health or any situation beyond our control, a full refund will be provided to you, as well as assistance in finding a suitable decorator with similar experience to complete your order. 

Storage & Consumption: 

All cakes are baked freshly and can be consumed up to 3 days after delivery if appropriately refrigerated. For the best taste, moistness and quality, we recommend our cakes be eaten on the day of delivery/pickup. 

All cakes should be stored in a cool dark place on a flat sturdy surface 

Fondant (the soft icing covering the cake) is not designed to be refrigerated and as such cakes with this icing should be stored in a cool dry place, preferable in the box they were supplied in. Refrigeration may cause colours to run/bleed. Please keep all cakes and figurines out of direct sunlight. Failure to store the cake correctly may result in colours fading, cracks or melting. 

Avoid placing it in direct sunlight. 

Refrigerated cakes are recommended to be served at room temperature before consuming. 

It is best served at room temperature but be careful not to leave the cake out for too long on hot summer days. Please make sure the venue is air conditioned for summer weather. 

All drip cakes have to be refrigerated at a low temperature as advised during the collection or delivery.   

Allergies 

All our cakes contain fresh eggs, wheat(gluten)and dairy products, so are not suitable for those suffering from intolerance or allergies to those particular foods.  

Barrel Farm will not be responsible for any allergy related issues. 

It is the customer’s responsibility to inform guests of any risks 

However, we do offer gluten free and vegan options at a special request based on our availability. But please note that we process all of our products on the same environment as other allergens. 

Non Edibles: 

Please note that non-edible accessories such as brooches, ribbons, beads, feathers and food grade wires etc. are used to decorate some cakes or packaging at the client's request are not edible and must be removed from your cake before serving.  

Edible cake toppers can contain food-safe wires, which have to be removed before consumption. 

Barrel Farm accepts no responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from their use.  

Photographs 

Barrel Farm reserves the right to take and use photographs of your cake(s) and desserts, before, during and after set up, to use for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes, without compensation to you
